This opportunity is for two Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide essential support within a specialized K-12 educational setting focused on serving students with severe behavioral challenges, as well as rural schools in the surrounding cooperative area. These positions are on-site and offer a contract through the current school year with a commitment until June 12, 2026.
Location: Eugene, OR
Setting: K-12 specialized behavior and rural schools
Contract Duration: ASAP through June 12, 2026
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (early release Wednesdays)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to students in a specialized behavioral K-8 school known for addressing severe behavioral needs.
- Provide SLP support to rural schools within the cooperative, ensuring access to high-quality therapeutic services across multiple sites.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapeutic strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with licensure and district requirements.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Certification (CCC-SLP preferred).
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with students exhibiting significant behavioral challenges.
- Ability to manage caseloads within rural and specialized educational environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and educational staff.
- Commitment to on-site presence in Eugene, OR throughout the contract term.
